TIME LAPSE
‘Hope’ marks the first of my large wildlife sketches. This large Orangutan drawing is 23” x 23” and took the best part of a month to complete. I could not complain about looking at the beautiful face for hours on end! The eyes of this baby show pure innocence and total reliance on its mother for safety; something that unfortunately she may not be able to provide if humans continue to cause destruction to their habitat. Her crazy hair caught my attention straight away and my Mum aptly named her ‘Hope’.
This large, original, black and white Orangutan drawing will add so much character to your home. This baby ape picture would also be the perfect nursery decoration. Medium sized 16” x 16” professional Giclee prints are also available mounted for smaller rooms but the original artwork will make a striking impression in any home.
Whilst selling at Christmas craft fairs in 2019 I very quickly compiled a list of animal requests to add to my collection! If I had the time I would draw every animal imaginable, but this Orangutan drawing had to be the first. I had requests for wolves, chimps, giraffe and even a unicorn but the most popular was the Orangutan. I had 1 large sheet of 23” paper left and had been drawing at this size for a couple of months (Celebrity Portraits). All of a sudden, A3 felt very small and so I decided to create my very first 23” animal artwork!
Another first for me was recording my very own track to my time-lapse video! I am a singer first and foremost and thought it would be fun to sing and draw together!
